We have some big news for our customers/clients - friends this month. And so we asked Helen to pen a little letter to let you know what is happening. Before you start reading, maybe get the tissues ready - there might be a few tears as we say goodbye to someone we know you totally appreciate.
Sometimes we have tricky things we just need to say, and today I have one of those. I’m really sorry that I have to let you know that I will be leaving The Print Room at the end of October. Anyone that knows The Print Room, will know that I am pretty hands on. As a result I know many of you as more than just customers or clients, but as friends.
Because of the above I wanted to let you know as soon as possible what my plans are and by extension what the plans will be for The Print Room. It’s been an incredible (almost) three year journey for me, We’ve grown as a business in that time, I’ve grown as a person, and I hope that your artist endeavours have grown alongside this all. I’ve learnt so much from being in this role and all the incredible people that I’ve met along the way that I feel humbled and blessed to have been able to call myself “print mistress” for so long.
Where am I going next?
This decision to leave is also one filled full of excitement and anticipation too! From the start of November, I’ll be starting work at Alt Group in the role of Creative Project Manager, which if you haven’t heard of them already are regularly described at one of the best creative design agencies in Australasia. I’m really very excited to be joining their team and taking the next step in my career.
What is happening with The Print Room?
Well, we’re still working that out. If I’m 100% honest with you, everything happened so quickly last week, that we haven’t figured out a plan yet. However we are planning for The Print Room to go into hiatus to give the rest of the team some time to develop the next steps. I will be printing up a storm until the end of October so consider it business as usual this month.
In the meantime if you have any questions or concerns, or even just want to chat about it all before I head off, don’t hesitate to get in touch. You should all have my email by now, but just in case you don’t, it’s email@example.com
